Corporate Literature Brand Standards
Situation: Federated Investors, an S&P 500, world-class investment manager needed to communicate their nearly 150 investment products within 6 different segments. Historically, each product was treated individually - requiring unique concept and layout for each fund - and often by multiple graphic design vendors. The 50 year old company, who prides itself on style-consistent investment products, had no brand consistency. Federated was in need of both an updated, consistent image and a strategy to implement the communication more efficiently.
Solution: Simplify. By creating design standards, templates and resources, the overwhelming amount of creative variables was reduced to a basic 4-part Literature System. A set of digital templates ranging from a Fund Overview to the single sheet Sales Prospectus would serve as the basis for every new piece of communication. A collection of fonts, color charts and approved photography would complete the tools provided on the DVD delivered manual.
Results: Refreshing consistency and incredible cost savings. Federated Investors can now present their full range of products across all sectors with confidence. Their trust-worthy conservative personality has been retained while bringing a new sophistication and personal appearance. What’s more, by using the new design tools, Federated’s cost of creative process per piece has been greatly reduced.
